The Welcoming screen for Eudora.
Click on Next to commence the configuration.

Step 2. Account
Settings
Click on
Create a brand new email account.
It is possible to copy settings from an existing email account,
however those settings may be for a different user, or configured
for a different ISP.
Click Next to continue. |

Personal Information
In the box provided enter
your Real Name.
Click Next to continue. |

| Step 4.
Email Address.
In the box enter your
full Email address as allocated by Melb PC (it will be your
Username followed by @melbpc.org.au)
Click on Next to continue. |

Step 5.
Login name In the
box enter your Login name which same as the
Username allocated by Melb PC. Note: Do not add anything further.
Click Next to
continue. |

| Step 6. Incoming
Email Server
Enter in the box as
shown: popa.melbpc.org.au
Leave the check in the radio button
alongside POP.
Click Next to continue. |

7.Outgoing Email Server
Enter in the box as
shown: smtp.melbpc.org.au
Click Next to
continue. |

Success!
The configuration is
complete, and simply click Finish.

Setting Options
From the Toolbar select
Tools and from the drop-down menu and
click on Options.

Started option
The information as shown
is a sample of Eudora correctly configured for
Melb PC (except for the name of the user which
will vary) and no changes should be necessary.
Any corrections can be made to errors in the
configuration directly through this page.
Highlight the Checking Mail next icon below to
move to this configuration - see next Step.

Checking Mail option
The information shown on
this page is correct for Melb PC, and no changes should be
necessary. You will be prompted for your Password on
the first download of mail, and the password will
be remembered thereafter.
A figure of your choice can be entered in the box for
Check for mail every __ minutes. This will ensure Eudora
will check your mailbox automatically for new mail
at regular intervals.
Highlight the Incoming Mail next icon below to
move to this configuration - see next Step.

Incoming mail option
The settings as shown are
correct for Melb PC.
A figure entered in: Skip messages over __k in
size will permit you to select an upper size of message
- however if large attachments are anticipated this size
should be set accordingly.
Highlight the Sending Mail next icon below to
move to this configuration - see next Step.

Sending Mail option
The settings as shown are
correct for Melb PC.
If wished changes can to made to the three check boxes,
however these settings will make most operations completely
automatic.

Attachment directory option
When downloading
Attachments to e-mail, Eudora will separate any
attachments and store them in the folder of your choice.
A simple click on the raised box will enable you to
select by browsing to any folder on your PC.

Other Options
The settings shown in the
above steps are as required the Melb PC, or
advisable for effective use.
Eudora has many other settings available for your
personal preference under these Option categories. All may be
changed to meet you preferences at any time, and
most should be left untouched - or returned to the previous
setting if it does not suit.
