Manual configuration of E-Mail and News programs

Melbourne PC User Group Internet Service has an Internet setup master program MPC2008.exe which will fully configure both MS Internet Explorer and Netscape browsers, several Microsoft mail and news programs plus Netscape and Eudora, and in addition create a Dial Up Network dialler suitable for Windows versions 95/98/2000/ME/XP and Vista

It requires only the insertion of the subscriber's name, allocated username and password during the configuration stage. The program can be downloaded as MPC2008.exe and the instruction details.

Many subscribers have other Internet accounts, and the following instructions are intended to assist in the manual configuration of various programs for accessing E-mail and News, and for checking their own settings against the correct Melb PC configuration.
