Adding another
Identity to Outlook Express
Often
there is a need to add another Identity to MS Outlook
Express. This may be for the same person to use the services of
another or additional ISP, or for a separate account for another person.
The illustrations used are from Outlook Express v5.5 and may vary
slightly from later versions however the configuration information is the
same.
Other Microsoft Mail programs are similar in most regards,
and the Outlook Express information should be adequate for complete
configuration.
| Step
1.
Open Outlook Express or
Outlook, and select File, then Identities,
and then Add New Identity from the drop-down menu.
|

|
| Step
2.
In the next window enter
your Real Name of the New Identity in the
box provided. All Identities added must have a unique Identity name
to identify to appropriate system configurations, mailboxes, etc.
Click OK to go to the next window.
|
 |
| Step 3.
The next window will then show the new
Identity added to the list.
At the bottom of the window a pull-down menu enables the
selection of a Default Identity to be used when Outlook
Express is started - this can be any one of the listed users.
Click Next to go to the next window.
|

|
| Step
4.
Return to the main window and click on
File, and then Switch Identity.
|

|
| Step
5.
Select the
Identity to switch to by highlighting the name, and click
OK.
|

|
| Step 6.
At this stage Outlook
Express will reopen in the name of the Identity required.
Note: If this is the first time this Identity has been
used, it will require complete configuration for E-mail and News.
