ErgoWise

ErgoWise offers a series of multimedia tutorials on safe office working practices. Aimed at home and small business users, it teaches you how to safely use workstation equipment, hopefully resulting in a reduced risk of Occupational Overuse Syndrome. Among the tutorials are: The Stuff on Your Desk, The Place Where You Work, About Your Job and What About You?

Included within each tutorial are practical suggestions for looking after yourself, as well as multiple-choice questions to prompt you to evaluate your own work environment and identify areas of concern. What About You? also includes an audit of pain sites, including frequency and intensity of pain. The final topic includes 13 video exercises concentrating on various portions of the anatomy. A timer - configurable from 1 to 60 minutes -monitors the time you spend on the computer and alerts you when it's time to take a break. There is also a separate screensaver based on the ErgoWise exercise videos.

ErgoWise is a cut-down version of a larger product, OfficeWise, which is designed for the corporate environment. OfficeWise includes additional monitoring and reporting features, is network-enabled and customisable for different environments.

Overall, I found ErgoWise to be a fairly straightforward, informative program.
