The small number of invalid votes is pleasing
but the total number of votes cast is
disappointing considering the number of
members comprising Melbourne PC User
Group.
I thank Trish Swan and the office staff for the
preparatory work carried out prior to the
voting, the volunteers who manned the
polling desks and the volunteers who so ably
counted the votes and checked the count.
Finally I think the Group should be able to
do much better and encourage more members
to vote than the 3.4% of our membership
who voted this year. I am strongly of the
view that future elections should be
conducted by postal ballot and I recommend
that this method should be instigated for the
2003 elections.
Yours sincerely,
D A Brooke
