This is the first issue for the new publishers, Condor Group. You might
have already noticed some structural changes to your magazine — for one; it's a
good deal lighter.
Hopefully, as you turn the pages, you will notice some of the other adjustments
we have made to improve the visual style and the content of your magazine. Our
team of designers have worked hard to create a format that is attractive
without sacrificing readability.
I am very pleased with the group of contributing writers we have been able to
assemble. Adam Turner is a prolific tech writer, having worked for The Age for
many years and now writing for a multitude of tech publications. He will be
providing monthly hardware reviews of the newest products on the market. Hari
Raj is an experienced feature writer and he will be providing an in-depth look
at the issues that affect you as PC users. Group members George Skarbek and Ash
Nallawalla return to continue their fantastic contributions to the magazine. In
addition to these we have a team of contributors providing product reviews,
how-to guides and more. We encourage contributions from group members, so if
you're interested please send me an email.
On a personal note, I am looking forward to producing a magazine that you will
enjoy reading. Our only aim is to satisfy the readership, after all — this is
your magazine. As such, any and all feedback is appreciated. If you can share
with us what you want to see in your magazine, we can set about making it
happen.
I hope you enjoy our first issue of PC Update Magazine as much as we enjoyed
putting it all together.
Happy reading.
