The magazine of the Melbourne PC User Group

1985 is in full swing now and all Groups are meeting regularly. Some reports are coming in. Please keep up the information flow so I can keep all members informed of the activities of all User Groups and SIGs.

Editor

It is with regret that I must inform you of my resignation from this position, to be effective from completion of the next Newsletter, due for publication in early April.

For some time now I have planning my move from the Public Service out into the big wide world of private enterprise, working for myself. Whilst the new job will firstly involve an overseas trip, there will then quite a bit of travelling within Australia which will prevent me from continuing in this capacity with the User Group.

It is now up to someone else to take over. This job is a challenge with a great deal of satisfaction from seeing an end product after a few weeks of work which started from nothing. It is like sitting on the top of a hill, the view of all all the material we receive from overseas is terrific. It is so interesting that it is always very hard to decide which bits have to be rejected. Those people involved in the preparation of the Newsletter get to see it all; unfortunately our members only get a sample. We need your help.

If anyone is interested please contact me as soon as possible.

This Issue

I have loaded this issue with information on Bulletin Boards, my view being that all members will be interested in this rapidly developing area of computer communications. That is my view. I would like to know yours. However, in the time since I took on this job I have not had one single Letter to the Editor. Perhaps our members are illiterate, perhaps they don't care what they receive in their Newsletter. What about You?
