Withdrew from the election.

The above numbers include postal votes and proxies. The total number of valid proxies that I received was almost 250. Of the 145 valid postal votes received about a dozen members had also filled out the proxy form, which was printed on the same page in the magazine. As Returning Officer I took these postal votes and destroyed the redundant proxies. A vote takes precedence over a proxy, as in the postal vote members are expressing their own opinions, and cannot vote and have someone else vote for them.

I would like to thank Roy McLean for the assistance he provided with the election and to thank on your behalf the volunteers who worked hard in issuing ballot papers and then counting the results. They gave up hours of their time and missed out on the presentation in order to produce the verified results on the night.
