Introduction to QuickBooks
Do you need to:
- Perform day-to-day business and bookkeeping functions, such as invoicing, purchasing, banking, recording tax obligations
Prerequisites:
- A basic knowledge of bookkeeping and/or accounting procedures
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Windows environment and able to use a keyboard and mouse.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- QuickBooks navigation
- Use QuickBooks Help
- Create a new company file, enter opening balances and set up stock and service items
- Create and modify a chart of accounts
- Enter records and historical balances for customers and suppliers
- Make sales to customers and record customer payments
- Work with daily inventories
- Write cheques to make payments and perform a bank reconciliation
- Use QuickBooks BASLink to produce a Business Activity Statement

a Microsoft Office User Specialist, Software Advisor and Partner, a Reckon
and MYOB Partner and is the Director and Founder of The Temporary Alternative.
She has been involved in the IT industry for over two decades and brings
to her training sessions a wealth of experience. Her back ground includes:
projects management, training, consulting, network / desktop support and
administration. Her training and facilitation experience includes: Universities,
Accountancy Practices, TAFE Colleges, Registered Training Organisations
and a variety of Corporate and Government Companies.
