I purchased a comprehensive set of tools for the Moorabbin Maker Room this morning, just in time for members of the Microcontroller Workshop SIG to enjoy with their face to face meeting tomorrow. The collection includes

• Soldering irons
• A vacuum desoldering station
• “Third hand” work holders and magnifiers
• Cutters and pliers
• A huge screwdriver set
• A hot glue gun
• Wire stripper

We already have a fair collection of test instruments. I have worked professionally in labs no better equipped.

All members are welcome and entitled to use the Maker Room. Just for now you should call ahead to the office if you want to come in, simply because the office is not being staffed all day at the Covid moment. Please treat all this with respect and report any losses or breakages to the office.
