Our July Daytime Monthly meeting

was attended by a new record of 12 attendees who were well informed by Mike M.’s presentation on his 3D printing journey.
Mike showed us a number of his highly innovative creations produced as models in OnShape 3D modelling program and printed on his recently acquired FlashForge dual-head, multi-colour 3D printer.
The machine’s capabilities were well utilised by Mike’s approach of having the multiple filament spools setup for different materials rather than just different colours.
Dave E had us scratching our heads and reaching deep into our memories for answers to his Trivia quiz – based around astronomy and tech things generally. Our best efforts did not surpass 8 out of 20 questions correct so come along next month and see if you can pick up the door prize with a big score.

Over a delicious lunch (thanks again Mike M.) a diverse conversation ranged over various topics including Windows personal computing experience over the years, MelbPC’s early days of being an ISP and running a bulletin board system for thousands of members
to what’s new in tech hardware we are all using today.
Overall a great afternoon for members who can make it along. We hope that includes you next month August 18th.
