This is a special meeting as we will have a speaker giving us a presentation on 3D printing.
This is a topic that should be of interest to a large cross-section of our membership.
David Stonier-Gibson is very involved with the management of the Melbourne PC User Group. As well being a Management Committee member, he is the Marketing Editor of the ‘PC Update’ and is the co-convenor of the Microcontroller SIG.
David will be bringing a printer to the meeting and will give a brief overview of the technology involved in 3D printing, at the hobby level. He will also show some videos that demonstrate aspects of the operation of a 3D printer.
Can I encourage you to invite any friends who are likely to be interested in the subject of 3D Printing. The format for the morning will be generally the same as previous meetings, starting with Q&A, but we may adjourn for morning tea a little early to maximise the time for David’s presentation.
The Family History Group will commence its meeting at 1:30pm., with Colin Ackehurst as the Convenor. Colin will be sending an Agenda to all our members who attend the Family History Group. If you do not receive the agenda, and would like a copy, please contact Colin Ackehurst at email@example.com
