Welcome to the Video Production Special Interest Group (SIG)
Our SIG Meetings are held at Wadham House, Mount Waverley on the 4th Friday of each month (except December) and start at 10:00 a.m. Activities include helping you with your video production problems, what’s new and Q & A. Our Meetings usually end around 12:00 noon.
Our first Meeting at our new location – 10:00 a.m. Friday 24th January 2020 – Wadham House, Mt Waverley.
As there may be many new attendees at the first Meeting in Wadham House, we will use the occasion to plan for the content and focus of future Meetings for the rest of the year so I will take a short time to solicit ideas from the audience on future Meeting content..
I am very pleased to be able to tell you that John Thomson has offered to come all the way from Black Rock to give us an update on “What’s New” and also give us a talk on how he overcame a problem in using a manual focus lens on a camera of a different manufacturer.
One item that has already been discussed and agreed that it should be covered as a “regular” topic is Video Editing with DaVinci Resolve, so anybody that has been using this on a regular basis is invited to tell us what their experience has been.
After the Tea/Coffee break Richard Balsillie will be demonstrating a Video Editing application that runs on both Android and IOS that enables you to edit Videos on the phone without first having to download them to your PC or MAC.
Again, if you have been using an app for a similar purpose and would like to tell us about it then please feel free to write and tell me about it so that we can include it in future meetings.
Another item that has also been very popular in the past is the showing of “Members Videos” – so that will be included as another “regular” item.
The Agenda for this month’s Meeting is therefore as follows:-
10:00 a.m – 10:15 General Discussion about future Group Meetings – John Hall
10:15 – 10:45 “What’s New” and fixing problems with Manual Focus lenses – John Thomson
10:45 – 11:00 Tea/Coffee Break
11:00 – 11:30 Editing Videos directly on a phone – Richard Balsillie
11:30 – 12 noon Members Videos.
Hoping to see many of our Members at this first Meeting !!!
