December Monthly Meeting

The December Monthly Meeting will be held Wednesday December 4 at 7pm.

Guest Speaker: Fiona Patten MP

Fiona Patten is a state politician. She is the leader of the Reason Party and has a seat in the Victorian Legislative Council, representing the Northern Metropolitan Region.

Fiona will talk about the challenges of being a micro-party MP, learning the ropes in Spring Street, yarns about discrimination and support from the “big boys”, i.e. the human, behind the scenes, side of the job. She may also describe some of the challenges of coping with the IT systems in parliament house.

In-house Topic: Hydroponics Build

The Sci/Tech SIG will present the hydroponics system they built as a team project for the Monash Mini Maker Faire on Sunday December 1 2019. This is a the result of a number of people working together towards a group goal. Several of the hydroponics team members will be present and each describe their contribution to the whole.
